ECGI Welcomes 74 New Research Members

The European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI) is delighted to announce the appointment of 74 distinguished scholars as new Research Members, in recognition of their exceptional contributions to the field of corporate governance. Drawn from Europe, the UK, North America, and Asia these newly admitted members will join an established network of academics shaping the future of corporate governance worldwide.
The selection process was overseen by a committee of renowned scholars, chaired by Professor Jens Dammann, Professor of Law at The University of Texas. The committee also included Professor Daniel Ferreira, Professor of Finance at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE); Professor Laura Field, Donald J. Puglisi Professor of Finance at the University of Delaware; and Professor Mariana Pargendler, Professor of Law at Harvard Law School.
ECGI Research Members are eligible to publish their academic work on corporate governance and stewardship in the ECGI Working Paper Series (Law and Finance), a highly regarded collection of work known for its reliability, breadth, and impact on policymaking and practice. A list of the newly appointed members is available below.
ECGI’s membership structure includes both institutions and individuals on a subscription basis, but only Research Members can distribute their work to the network. Additionally, ECGI awards the honorific title of Fellow through a vote by existing Fellows. Previously appointed Fellows include Nobel Laureates such as Jean Tirole, Oliver Hart, Bengt Holmström, and Douglas Diamond.
Speaking about the new appointments, Professor Jens Dammann said:
