Professor Yihui Pan

Yihui Pan is an Associate Professor of Finance at the University of Utah. She received her doctoral degree in Finance from University of Minnesota in 2011, and her master’s degree in Business Administration and German Studies from University of Mannheim. Yihui’s research focuses on corporate risk and governance, especially on the influence of cultural, political, and social factors on financial and corporate decision-making. Her research has been published in the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Accounting Research, the Review of Financial Studies and in Management Science, among others, and her papers have received a number of best paper awards and other recognitions. She serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief at the Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Finance, as well as an associate editor at the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis and Journal of Corporate Finance.
