Biography

Prof. Nizan Packin is an experienced law professor specializing in Financial Regulation, Consumer Protection, Business Law, Privacy Law, Data Management & Cybersecurity, Compliance, AI Law & Policy, and Blockchain Technology. Conducted extensive research on emerging technologies in various institutions and edited a Cambridge University Press book on these issues, focusing on blockchain technology. Former corporate lawyer at Skadden Arps, advising major clients in the financial sector, among other industries, including on corporate resturcturing. Provides expert advisory to global government regulators on policy development and implementation. 

Published in the Wall Street Journal, American Banker, Toronto Star, Bloomberg, Science, and top law and business journals; featured in media outlets such as the Financial Times, Business Insider, and Yahoo Finance. Regular contributor to Forbes on financial regulation and technology policy. Recipient of multiple grants and awards. Co-founder of a nonprofit organization, bringing a diverse perspective to the academic and legal communities as well as broad audiences.
