Biography

Lubomir (Lubo) Litov is the David M. Moffett Professor of Corporate Finance, Associate Professor of Finance and Associate Professor of Law at the University of Oklahoma’s Michael F. Price College of Business. He has previously taught courses in finance at the New York University’s Leonard Stern School of Business, the Washington University in St. Louis’ Olin Business School, and the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management. He holds both master’s and doctorate’s degrees in business administration (economics) from the Stern School of Business of the New York University. Prior to his academic career, Professor Litov has worked as investment banker in the mergers and acquisitions division of Bank Austria Creditanstalt Investment Bank AG in London, United Kingdom and in Vienna, Austria, advising clients on acquisitions of large firms in the oil & gas (refining and distribution), financial, telecommunication, tobacco, and chemical processing sectors. Professor Litov has published articles in top-rated finance and accounting journals such as the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Accounting and Economics, Management Science, and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, among others. Professor Litov’s expertise includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, investment banking, venture capital, private equity and corporate valuation.
