Professor Pedro Matos delivered the second lecture in this public lecture series examining the current landscape of ESG and responsible investing. It reviewed recent academic evidence on how investors who align their portfolios with ESG principles contribute to the overarching goal of greening the planet. Additionally, it presented novel evidence on the current state of the green transition and critically assessed whether progress is occurring swiftly enough to meet global sustainability objectives.  

The lecture was moderated by Stephen Beer, Head of Responsible Investment Strategic Relationships and Integration Strategy, Legal & General Investment Management.
