Biography

Enrichetta Ravina is a Senior Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.. She is an expert in the areas of corporate governance, household finance, and behavioral economics. Her corporate governance research focuses on the role of institutional investors in the economy and in society. Her work employs a novel methodology to estimate the preferences and ideology of mutual funds and public pension funds from their proxy voting, the evolution of such preferences over time, and their impact on the firms they own shares in. Her research has received numerous prizes and has been published in the Journal of Financial Economics, the Review of Financial Studies, and Management Science, among others. Dr. Ravina holds a B.Sc. in Economics and Business from the University of Torino, and an MA and PhD in Economics from Northwestern University.
