Biography

Claudio F. Loderer is the Director of the Institut für Finanzmanagement at the Universität Bern, the Managing Director of the Swiss Finance Institute, and the Program Director of the Rochester-Bern Executive Programs. During the Fall 2008 term he was visiting Professor of Finance at the Stern School of Business, NYU.



Professor Loderer’s primary areas of research include corporate finance, corporate governance, risk management, compensation policies and behavioral finance. He has authored a book on valuation and published articles in the Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Applied Corporate Finance, Journal of Empirical Finance, European Financial Management, Financial Management, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Monetary Economics, Financial Management, Swiss Journal of Economics and Statistics, European Financial Management and DBW, Die Betriebswirtschaft.



Professor Loderer received his Bachelor of Economics degree from the Universität Bern and his Ph.D. from the University of Rochester.
