ECGI Research Committee
Terms of Reference
The Research committee of ECGI is responsible for promoting and overseeing the research activities of ECGI.
The research activities include:
-
(a) the election and retirement of research members of ECGI
-
(b) the nomination of fellows of ECGI
-
(c) research conferences, workshops, meetings and dialogues
-
(d) research projects and programmes
-
(e) the working paper series
-
(f) research publications and dissemination
-
(g) and any other activities that the Board of ECGI deem to be classified as research
The research committee shall have between 6 and 10 members
The Chair of the committee will be ex officio a member of the Board of ECGI
The members of the committee will be appointed for a period of 3 years in the first instance renewable for a maximum one further term of 3 years
The members of the committee will be appointed by the Board of ECGI
The Chair will be elected from amongst the members of the committee
The committee will report on its activities to the Board of ECGI
The committee will meet 4 times a year or as often as the committee deems appropriate
It can meet by phone or other electronic means as well as in person
A minimum of 50% of the members of the committee need to be present for a meeting to be quorate.

The Global Corporate Governance Colloquia (GCGC)
GCGC is a partnership of 12 leading universities from Asia, Europe and the US which convenes annually with papers and participants from the fields of law and finance. ECGI is responsible for the general operation of GCGC and organisation of the annual conference.
The European Corporate Governance Research Foundation (ECGRF)
ECGRF is a charitable foundation which was established to provide long-term support for ECGI. ECGI reports annually to the Trustees of the Foundation and manages its general operations.
