Columbia Law School Conference on M&A and Corporate Governance - Panel 1 | Activism and M&A
The Columbia Law School annual Conference on M&A and Corporate Governance was held on 22 November 2024. It gathered speakers from academia, the judiciary, and the legal and finance industries to explore relevant issues in M&A and corporate governance, including implications of the US election for M&A. Topics of conversation included the state of shareholder activism, legislative and regulatory developments affecting dealmaking, and Delaware law regarding controlling shareholders.
The first panel of the day, "Activism and M&A" was moderated by Dorothy Lund, Columbia 1982 Alumna Professor of Law and Millstein Center Faculty Co-Director, Columbia Law School and comprised of:
