The joint seminar, co-hosted by RIETI (Research Institute of Economy Trade and Industry), WBF (Waseda Institute of Business and Finance), and ECGI (European Corporate Governance Institute), was held on 18 November 2024 at Waseda University, Tokyo. It was a hybrid seminar with English interpretation.
The opening remarks of the symposium were delivered by Eiichi Tomiura (Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry (RIETI)), Hideaki Miyajima (Waseda University), and Kazunori (Icko) Suzuki (Waseda University).
The keynote speech was presented by Professor Marco Becht (Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management, Université libre de Bruxelles, and ECGI), who discussed developments outside Japan and shared insights from international research.
