Professor Dr. Dr. Petra Inwinkl is affiliated with the Technical University of Vienna and the University of Vienna (Austria) and has held various positions including visiting appointments at the Macquarie University (Australia), Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (U.S.A), Jönköping University (Sweden) and the University of Vienna (Austria).
Professor Petra Inwinkl has research and teaching interests in various aspects of corporate governance including audit committees, auditing of public interested entities, international accounting, corporate mergers and acquisitions and valuations embedded in the European company law and tax law sphere. She is a prolific scholar and has published in leading outlets for which she received several research awards including the 2006 Rudolf-Sallinger Award and 2005 Dr. Maria Schaumayer Award for Maintenance of Capital within Demergers. She was distinguished in 2010 by the Jan Wallanders and Tom Hedelius Foundation with the Browaldh Fellowship.
She has been invited to keynote speeches at several conferences and frequently gives talks to governmental and non-governmental institutions, on the governance of listed companies, the EU audit reform and its consequences for public interested companies and the international development in accounting issues.
