Dimitris is Professor of Finance at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland. His research interests are Corporate Finance, Corporate Governance, Political Economy & Regulatory Frameworks, and Social responsibility (CSR/ESG) and Sustainability. He is a member of the Research Panel of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) which has more than 21,000 CAs as members worldwide. In addition, he is actively engaging with industry in various roles such as consulting and R&D. He is ranked in the top 10% of Authors on SSRN by all-time downloads and his research is published in peer reviewed journals such as the Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Empirical Finance, and the European Journal of Finance among others.
In addition, he is an Associate Editor for The European Journal of Finance. He has also been an Associate (Guest) Editor for the International Review of Financial Analysis and the Journal of Operational Research Society. Also, he has been a Scientific Committee member for several conferences (e.g. Financial Management Association, European Financial Management Association). Finally, he serves as research assessor for the Carnegie Trust, the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), and as a regular ad-hoc reviewer for a number of peer-reviewed scientific journals.
