Beate Sjåfjell, Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of Oslo in Norway, coordinates the Research Group Companies, Markets and Sustainability, and several international research projects and networks. These include the EU-funded project Sustainable Market Actors for Responsible Trade (SMART, 2016-2020) and Daughters of Themis: International Network of Female Business Scholars.
Beate’s publications include the edited volumes Sustainable Public Procurement under EU Law (Cambridge University Press, 2016, co-editor Anja Wiesbrock), Company Law and Sustainability (Cambridge University Press, 2015, co-editor: Benjamin Richardson), translated into Korean, The Greening of European Business Under EU Law (Routledge, 2015, co-editor Anja Wiesbrock), and Creating Corporate Sustainability (Cambridge University Press, 2018, co-editor: Irene Lynch Fannon), as well as the monograph Towards a Sustainable European Company Law (Kluwer Law International, 2009). Beate has published a number of papers, notably on EU company law and the integration of sustainable development.
