Biography

Paolo Rainelli is Associate Professor of Business Law at the Politecnic University of Turin (Politecnico di Torino) and has authored several contributions for the law reviews Giurisprudenza CommercialeGiurisprudenza Italiana and Giurisprudenza Arbitrale.

He graduated with honors from the Law School of the University of Turin in 2000. He received an LL.M. degree from Columbia Law School, New York in 2005, where he was Fulbright Scholar and Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, and a Ph.D. in Business Law at the Bocconi University of Milan in 2006. He was visiting fellow at the University of Oxford, Georgetown University of Washington and the Max Planck Institute of Munich, where he completed the GWU Munich IP Law Summer Program.

Paolo is also affiliated with AIDA (Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances) where he serves as member of the Executive Committee of the Italian National Chapter and member of the Scientific Committee of the Lombardy Regional Section. He was admitted to the Bar of Turin (Italy) in 2003 and admitted to practice before Higher Courts in 2015. He is senior associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, Milan.
