Mr. Miguel Martínez Muñoz
Biography
I am a professor of Spanish Commercial Law working full time (100%) at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Madrid. I have a degree in Law (2010) and Business Administration and Management (2011) and a PhD in Law with international mention (2017). My thesis was on Insolvency Law topics and it was awarded with the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize at my University.
I have done research stays at Harvard Law School, at the Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia and at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg.
Since 2017 I have been teaching different subjects related to commercial law.
My areas of research are mainly Bankruptcy Law, Corporate Restructuring and Corporate Law, being tremendously interested in Corporate Governance issues and conflicts of interest arising in the field of commercial companies. I have published several articles in specialized journals and book chapters, two books and coordinated 10 collective books on different subjects.
I currently direct the Ramón y Cajal-ICADE Restructuring and Insolvency Observatory.
