Biography

In addition to teaching M&A modules at Bayes to both undergraduates and post-graduate students, Naaguesh has been working as a Senior Research Fellow in the M&A Research Centre (MARC) since 2010. He has been involved in a number of projects, particularly on IPOs, RTOs, Pensions, Performance of deals, Geopolitical risks, Issues with Institutional Distance and the Bayes MARC M&A Maturity Index. He collaborates with leading academics and MARC’s sponsors. He was formerly a lecturer / researcher at Middlesex Business School, where he taught the Financial Data Analysis course on various MSc programmes and was a research assistant. He has also held various positions in the financial services and consulting industries such as Acuris and at the State Bank of Mauritius as an analyst in the Value-Based Performance Management team, as well as being a freelance advisor for small firms .Naaguesh has presented his research at many international conferences, published his research in the European Journal of Finance and has a book chapter in the Handbook of Research on IPOs. Naaguesh is a frequent commentator on business issues related to M&A on television (Bloomberg) and in the press (Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, The Sun, Daily Mail, City A.M.) and other publications.
