Mr Lasarus Jonker

Lasarus Jonker is a seasoned Governance Professional with over a decade of expertise in company secretarial roles, corporate compliance, and governance. Currently serving as the Group Company Secretary for the Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Group of Companies, one of Namibia's leading conglomerates, Lasarus oversees governance for over 70 entities across various sectors, including food production, fishing, IT, and renewable energy.

In his role, Lasarus champions corporate compliance, ensuring adherence to the King IV Code and NamCode on corporate governance, while also spearheading the development and review of governance policies and charters. He is known for his meticulous organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to foster professional relationships at all levels of the organization.

Previously, Lasarus held the position of Assistant Group Company Secretary at Momentum Metropolitan Namibia, where he handled board administration, statutory documentation, and compliance with regulatory directives. He has also worked as a Fund Manager for Prosperity Health Namibia, managing the secretarial duties of medical aid funds.

Lasarus holds a Bachelor of Accounting from the Namibia University of Science and Technology and has undergone professional governance training, including a Master Class in Corporate Governance presented by Prof. Mervin King.
