Biography

Ms. Baraç Evci obtained her Bachelor's degree in Law from Dokuz Eylül University in 2014 and subsequently commenced her L.L.M. studies in the same year at the same University. In 2019, she completed her Master’s degree with a thesis entitled “Invitation to the General Assembly Meeting in a Joint-Stock Company”. In 2020, she started her Ph.D. studies at Istanbul University. Ms. Barac Evci, who worked as an attorney and corporate consultant in various law firms until the year 2021, commenced her role as a Research Assistant at Piri Reis University, Faculty of Law, Department of Commercial Law in the same year. In early 2024, she was awarded a scholarship from Fribourg University, where she conducted research for her Ph.D. thesis over a five-month period. She is currently conducting research on her doctoral thesis as a visiting researcher at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, Institute of Law and Finance with TUBITAK 2214-A International Doctoral Research Fellowship. Her research is focused on commercial law, corporate law, capital market law, and competition law, with a particular emphasis on corporate governance and corporate sustainability.
