Prof Maurizio Murgia

Maurizio Murgia is professor of finance at the Faculty of Economics and Management of Free University of Bozen since 2000 where he has been the founding Faculty Dean designing the three-language model that distinguishes the faculty educational programs. He published forty papers and three monographies which include articles in the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Stability, Journal of Banking and Finance, Brooking-Wharton Papers in Financial Services, and other international journals. His previous academic appointments have been at the City University of London and the University of Pavia in Italy, and he holds a Doctorate in Finance awarded from a Consortium of Italian Universities in a program jointly developed with Salomon Brothers Center for the Study of Financial Institutions at New York University in USA.
