Biography
Defne Kahveci graduated from Yeditepe University Faculty of Law in 2017 and started her LL.M. studies in American Law with a focus on corporate and contract law at Boston University in the same year. In 2018, after obtaining her LL.M. degree, she completed her legal internship in Istanbul. Between 2018-2021, she worked in law firms in the fields of corporate law and contract law. She is registered with the New York Bar Association. Since 2021, she has been working as a research assistant at Doğuş University Faculty of Law, Commercial Law Department. She completed her master's program with thesis at Yeditepe University in 2023 with her thesis titled "Crowdfunding Platforms in Capital Markets Law", which she started in 2021. She is currently a PhD student in Private Law at Istanbul Bilgi University. Her research interests include corporate law, capital markets law and e-commerce law.
