Professor Maria-Teresa Marchica

Maria-Teresa Marchica is Professor of Finance at Alliance Manchester Business School (UK). She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of York. Her research contributions are in empirical corporate finance and governance, and labour and finance. Her research explores how investment and financial decisions are affected by shareholders' and managerial incentives; financial contracting; and differences between public and private firms.

She has presented her work at numerous major academic conferences and she has published in journals such as the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, the Journal of Financial Intermediation, and Journal of Corporate Finance, with a number of awards.
