Mr Alexis Metaxas-Tricardos

Alexis Metaxas-Tricardos joined AXA XL as Company Secretary, UK in October 2020, having previously held the role of Corporate Governance Manager at Architas, a London-based investment management firm wholly owned by the AXA Group, with presence in Europe and Asia. Mr. Metaxas-Tricardos has over 10 years’ experience in the corporate governance field gained across the Financial Services industry (Insurance, Asset Management, Banking).

Throughout his career, Mr. Metaxas-Tricardos has worked in highly regulated and international environments and has gained first-hand experience of the corporate governance practices, laws, regulations and organisational frameworks in multiple jurisdictions throughout Europe and beyond. He started his career in management consulting working as a corporate governance advisor to boards and executives of financial institutions and companies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Mr. Metaxas-Tricardos is a Chartered member of The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of Athens (2010), an LLM in Corporate & Commercial Law from Queen Mary, University of London (2011) and an MSc in Management from London Business School (2012).
