Biography
Dr. Bakr is an associate professor of accounting at Rennes School of Business - France. Before joining Rennes School of Business, Dr. Bakr was a visiting senior lecturer at Universiti Utara Malaysia, the leading management university in Malaysia. After his doctoral studies, he was appointed as a postdoctoral fellow at the Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences - IIUM conducting research on corporate governance in emerging markets and as a senior lecturer at Lincoln University. Dr. Bakr's research interests include corporate governance quality, corporate social responsibility, corporate finance and auditing. He is also a member of the American Accounting Association, the International Corporate Governance society, and the European Accounting Assocation.
