Biography

Peter Ruhwedel is Scientific Director of the Competence Center for Corporate Governance and a Professor for Strategy and Organization at FOM University of Applied Sciences. His main research focus is on corporate governance, particularly board composition and effectiveness. He is author of numerous articles in this research field and regularly conducts empirical surveys on corporate governance topics. 

Besides, Peter is founder and managing partner of DIEP Deutsches Institut für Effizienzprüfung, an independent consulting company with a focus on board performance evaluation and board consulting. Peter regularly conducts board performance evaluations across a broad set of company types and industries. Based on his deep knowledge of board effectiveness and board dynamics he also supports search processes for supervisory board members.

Prior to his appointment as a professor in 2011 he worked for more than ten years as management consultant, at last as partner of Oliver Wyman, a leading international management consultancy.
