Biography
Professor Jo Danbolt joined the University of Edinburgh Business School in 2012 and holds the Baillie Gifford Chair in Financial Markets. He has previously worked at the University of Glasgow Adam Smith Business School and Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh.
His main area of research is on shareholder wealth effects of Mergers & Acquisitions, but he also works on Corporate governance & firm value, Capital structure determinants; Index effects, and the Measurement of growth opportunities. His work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Corporate Finance; Corporate Governance: An International Review; European Accounting Review; European Financial Management; European Journal of Finance; and the Journal of Business Finance & Accounting.
