Professor Marco Bigelli

Marco Bigelli is full Professor of Corporate Finance at the University of Bologna. After qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1991 he worked in the corporate finance department at Imi Bank Luxembourg. He obtained a PhD in Finance at the University of Bergamo, Italy, in 1995. He founded borse.it, a company leader in Italian online financial information. Professor Bigelli is an established teacher of executive programmes and he has been Professor also at the Johns Hopkins University and at the University of Paris XII. He has been an expert witness in several litigations involving minority shareholders’ expropriations and an active consultant in several fields. He published two books and more than twenty national and international articles mainly on corporate governance, non-voting shares and seasoned equity offerings.
