ECGI in collaboration with Copenhagen Business School organised a three-day event from 20-22 September 2023, on Corporate Purpose as part of the ECGI Responsible Capitalism Initiative of a multi-year ECGI project.

Day three of the event, "The 2023 ECGI Annual Meeting", was held in Copenhagen on 22 September 2023.

Steen Thomsen (Copenhagen Business School and ECGI) and Colin Mayer (University of Oxford and ECGI) chaired the last session of the conference: "Purpose In Practice".

- Lene Skole (CEO, The Lundbeck Foundation) spoke on the Foundation Ownership and Purpose.

- Paolo Lanzarotti (CEO of Asahi Europe and International) spoke on the Purpose in a Beer Business

- Jakob Topsøe (Chair, Topøe Holding) spoke on the Purpose in a Family Business

- Hannah König (Co-Founder, Stapelstein) spoke on the Purpose in a Start-Up

- Génica Schäfgen (DACH Manager, Ecosia) spoke on the Purpose in a Search Engine.

Marco Becht (Solvay Brussels School and ECGI) concluded the three-day conference.
