ECGI in collaboration with Assonime (The Association of Italian Public Companies), Bocconi University and the European Corporate Governance Research Foundation (ECGRF) organised a two-day event on Responsible Capitalism as part of the multi-year ECGI project.

Day two of the event titled: "Capitalism Revisited: Responsible Investment and 2022 ECGI Annual Meeting, Celebrating 20 Years" was held in Milan on 16 September 2022.

Luca Enriques (Chair, ECGI Research Committee and the University of Oxford) kicked off the ECGI Working Paper Prize Session and called Mike Burkart (Editor, ECGI Finance Series and London School of Economics and Political Science) and Paola Tagliavini (Member of the Board, Chair of the Risks and Sustainability Committee, Intesa San Paolo) to introduce and announce the Intesa Sanpaolo Finance Working Paper Prize.

Andrey Malenko, Nadya Malenko, and Chester Spatt, virtually accepted the Prize for their paper, "Creating Controversy in Proxy Voting Advice"

Geneviève Helleringer (University of Oxford, ESSEC and ECGI) and Roberto Bonsignore, Partner, Cleary Gottlieb gave a brief and announced the Cleary Gottlieb Law Working Paper Prize to Elizabeth Pollman (University of Pennsylvania Law School and ECGI) for their paper, "The Corporate Governance Machine" by Dorothy S. Lund and Elizabeth Pollman.
