Biography

Stefano A. Cerrato is full professor of company law at University of Turin.


 


He received his Juris Doctor degree from the same University (2000, magna cum laude and dignity of publication), and holds Ph.D. in Company law (2005, Bocconi University).


 


He is on the panel of arbitrators at Piedmont Arbitration Chamber, at national and International Arbitration Chamber in Milan and at the Arbitration Chamber of of Italy's Anti-Corruption Authority in Rome (ANAC).


 


He is admitted to plead in front of the supreme jurisdictions.


 


He is founder and director of the law review Giurisprudenza arbitrale, member of the editorial scientific Board of the following law reviews: Giurisprudenza italiana, Giurisprudenza commerciale, AIDA - Annali italiani di diritto d’autore, Nuovo Diritto Societario; referee in the Reviews Rivista di Diritto Societario, Orizzonti del diritto commerciale, Banca borsa titoli di credito, Rivista delle società, Banca impresa società.


 


He has written more than 250 contributions in the fields of Corporate and Commercial Law and Commercial Arbitration for high-degree Italian law reviews (as Giurisprudenza Italiana, Giurisprudenza Commerciale, Rivista delle società, Rivista del diritto commercialeNuovo diritto societario). He has also published Le deleghe di competenze assembleari nella società per azioni, Milano, 2009 (book on the delegation of the powers of the shareholders to the board of directors) and La clausola compromissoria nelle società. Profili sostanziali, Torino, 2012 (book on the role and on the rules of the arbitration clause in corporations and partnerships).
