Biography

Dr. Sanjiv Gungadeen is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Management and the Head of Business and Management at the Université des Mascareignes, Mauritius. He is also Honorary Research Fellow at the Murdoch University where he completed his Ph.D. studies. He also teaches as part time lecturer at the Rushmore Business School , Vatel School of Hospitality and Business and the Open University of Mauritius. He is very active in the research field with projects in Corporate social responsibility, Governance, Sustainability , cultural studies (where the main focus has been on national culture using the Hoftstede’s Framework) and organisational change management. Sanjiv focuses both on qualitative and quantitative research and specialises on Grounded theory method which he used in his doctoral thesis. He teaches Research Methods at Phd level and Strategic Marketing & Culture and Ethics in Business (at post graduate level) and Entrepreneurship, Business Ethics, International Management, Change Management, Organisational Behaviour, Business and Sustainable Development at undergraduate level. 
Sanjiv has a keen interest in studies on small island economies and has been engaged in research in the African economies. He also works in close collaboration with the Murdoch University and is involved in some collaborative projects with the School of Business and Governance.
