Ms Nidhi Singh
Biography
Nidhi is currently an empanelled lawyer with Delhi High Court and is also a practicing Counsel before the Supreme Court of India. She has eight years of post-qualification experience. Apart from litigating, Nidhi serves as a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for Commercial Policy & Legal Research, New Delhi & is an Expert with the Antitrust & Big Data vertical at Institute for Internet & the Just Society, Germany. She serves as a Member of the Academic Council, KIIT University, Odisha and is on the Advisory Board of KIIT School of Law, Centre for Business and Corporate Laws, Odisha.
She currently heads two Centres at GLA University, Institute of Legal Studies & Research viz, Centre for Competition law & Policy and Centre for Artificial Intelligence & Law, while also serving as an Adjunct Faculty. She is a Global Shaper with the World Economic Forum and a Visiting Faculty at National Law School, Kolkata and Hyderabad in India. Apart from being an Academic Member of European Corporate Governance Institute, Brussels, she is also a Junior Member of Academic Society for Competition Law (ASCOLA), Germany.
Nidhi graduated as a Gold Medalist in Law from KIIT School of Law, Odisha. She pursued MSc Law & Finance from Faculty of Law & Said Business School, University of Oxford on full scholarship as Louis-Dreyfus Weidenfeld Scholar (2015-16). She is currently enrolled as a JSM Candidate & SPILS Fellow at Stanford Law School, USA. Her area of research encompasses understanding Artificial Intelligence from a competition law perspective. Previously, she has read for a Diploma in Investment Law from Universitat de Barcelona, as WTO & St. Gallen scholar. She has studied Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School of Government and M.A. Economics for Competition Law from King's College, London. Additionally she has earned two Post-graduate Diplomas in Competition Law & Policy from National Law University, Delhi and in International Trade and Business Law from Indian Society of International Law, New Delhi.
She has previously worked as a LAMP Fellow (Legislative Assistant to Members of Parliament of India), Consultant with the NITI Aayog, Faculty Associate at the I.A.S. Academy, Mussoorie (training the civil servants of India), Law Officer with the Investigation Office, Competition Commission of India and Associate (Competition law) with Trilegal, Mumbai (Law firm).
