Mr Naveen Bhateja

25-year industry veteran, Naveen Bhateja has extensive experience leading organizational transformation, driving profitability, cultivating successful leaders and teams, executive compensation, Board and CEO succession planning, and in developing an employee-first culture. His career reflects achievements in executive and management roles with industry leaders that include General Electric, JP Morgan Chase, Experian, and Amazon. In these positions, he has partnered with executive teams and corporate boards to spearhead cultural change and to provide strategic and tactical leadership to the achievement of critical corporate goals.

Currently, Naveen serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer of Medidata Solutions, a provider of Life Sciences, Cloud, and SaaS solutions. In this role, he oversees critical functions that instill Medidata’s culture, contribute to the company’s overall performance, and advance Medidata’s purpose to Solve the Impossible.

He has worked closely with Compensation, and Nomination and Governance Committees and brings M&A experience and successfully spearheaded efforts to balance productivity with employee safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Naveen is a recognized author and thought leader and the recipient of several American Business Awards, he has earned accolades for building best in class people and culture strategies including future of work. His leadership has contributed to Medidata’s score of 100 on HRC’s Global Equality Index and appointment to the Great Place to Work list for workplace excellence.

A passionate mental health advocate, Naveen is an investor and serves on the board for the non-profit Geeks Rule; is a board advisor to tech startups and to the Josh Bersin Academy, the SemperVirens Technology Venture Fund, and DNX Ventures. An alumnus of the Harvard Business School, he holds an MBA from the University of Leeds, and has received his Directorship certification from the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).
