Professor Jiekun Huang
Biography
Jiekun Huang is a Professor of Finance and Vernon Zimmerman Faculty Fellow at Gies College of Business, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research is at the intersection of investments, corporate finance, and political economy, with a focus on understanding how the behavior of economic agents and their interactions influence the informational role of financial markets and corporate decision-making. His work has been published in the Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, Management Science, and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, and has been featured in the Economist, the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, NPR, CNBC, BBC, etc.
Jiekun earned a PhD in Finance from Boston College in 2009, an MA in finance (2003) and a BEcon in international finance (2000) from Xiamen University.
