Biography

J S Liptrap is an assistant professor of law at the University of Sussex, and a research associate in the Centre for Business Research, Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. He read law at the Universities of Cambridge and Edinburgh, and practised as a corporate lawyer for a large international firm. His research interests, broadly, are in comparative corporate law and governance, EU law (particularly where it intersects with the regulation of corporations), financial regulation and securities regulation.  He is recognised by the European Commission's Euclid Network as an expert in social enterprise law. His work has appeared in a number of leading journals including the Cambridge Law Journal, the Cambridge Yearbook of European Legal Studies, the European Business Organization Law Review, the Journal of Corporate Law Studies and the Modern Law Review
