Biography
Alessandra Zanardo is an Associate Professor of Business Law at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (Italy) and holds the National Scientific Habilitation (ASN) for the position of Full Professor. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Trieste (2001) and she earned a PhD in Business Law from Bocconi University in Milan (2007). From 2007 to 2013, she was an Adjunct Professor of EU Business Law and Intellectual Property Law at the University of Verona, where she was also a postdoctoral fellow. In 2011 she joined Ca’ Foscari University, where she has worked as a Lecturer for a number of years. Alessandra was Visiting Scholar at Queen Mary University of London (Centre for Commercial Law Studies), Chicago Kent-College of Law and Université Paris Dauphine. She has been a lawyer since 2006. She is a member of INSOL International and of the Italian Association of Business Law Professors “Orizzonti del diritto commerciale”. She has published widely in the fields of company law, corporate governance and bankruptcy law in Italian, English, French and Spanish. In particular, she wrote a book on the online constitution of limited liability companies (Costituzione online e costituzione standardizzata di società di capitali, 2022), a book on directors’ duty of care, skill and diligence in joint stock companies (Delega di funzioni e diligenza degli amministratori nella società per azioni, 2010) and a book on liability actions against directors in restructuring proceedings (Le azioni di responsabilità nel concordato preventivo, 2018). She participated as a speaker in several national and international conferences and seminars.
