1- The Annual Corporate Governance Conference at Drexel University, hosted by the Gupta Governance Institute in partnership with ECGI, 14th Annual Drexel Corporate Governance Conference was held from 15 - 16 April 2021.

Since 2008, the Annual Corporate Governance Conference at Drexel University, hosted by the Gupta Governance Institute, has highlighted top academic research. The conference featured theoretical and empirical research related to corporate governance. It included but was not restricted to, topics such as Boards of Directors, compensation, shareholder activism, mergers, debt as a form of governance, ESG-related issues, political influences on governance, and more. The conference was organised by Michelle Lowry, TD Bank Endowed Professor of Finance, Academic Director of the Gupta Governance Institute, Associate Editor of the Journal of Financial Economics, and ECGI Research Member. ECGI is honoured to be associated with this event in 2021. Wharton Research Data Services generously provides sponsorship for the conference, including offering a $1,000 best paper prize which will be voted on during the conference.

2- 16th Annual Corporate Governance Academic Conference at Drexel University hosted by the Raj & Kamla Governance Institute at Drexel University in collaboration with the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI) will be held on 14 April 2023.

The conference highlights the profound research by top professors around the world on issues related to corporate governance and the boardroom. Academics and Practitioners were invited to submit papers by December 21, 2022, to this annual, invitation-only conference in any area related to corporate governance, which includes (but is not restricted to) topics such as boards of directors, compensation, shareholder activism, mergers, debt as a form of governance, ESG-related issues, political influences on governance, etc. At this point, we are hoping to hold the conference in person. The conference will take place on Friday, April 14 2023, with a pre-conference dinner the preceding Thursday evening.

3- The Raj & Kamla Gupta Governance Institute at Drexel University in collaboration with the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI) held its 17th Annual Corporate Governance Conference. The conference took place on Friday, April 12, at Drexel University LeBow College of Business, Philadelphia, U.S.A., with a pre-conference dinner the preceding Thursday evening.

Academics and Practitioners were invited to submit their papers to this annual, in-person conference in any area related to corporate governance, which includes (but is not restricted to) topics such as boards of directors, compensation, shareholder activism, mergers, debt as a form of governance, ESG-related issues, political influences on governance, etc. The conference highlighted the profound research by top professors around the world on issues related to corporate governance and the boardroom.
