About the event:
The conference remembered the late Professor Brigitte Haar who passed away much too early this spring. Brigitte was Professor of Private German, European, and International Business Law at the Goethe University Frankfurt and a Research Member of the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI). The event brought together scholars who were close personal and professional companions of Brigitte and shared her passion for comparative and interdisciplinary scholarship at the intersection of law, finance and economics. Speakers presented research that related to Brigitteâs oeuvre and indicated how her way of thinking about corporate governance and finance provided a trajectory for innovative scholarship in the field that pushes the knowledge frontier.
The conference was organised by The Center for Advanced Studies on the Foundations of Law and Finance at Goethe University, The Research Center âSustainable Architecture for Finance in Europeâ (SAFE), and the European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI).
