A nexus of sustainability, financial markets, and scientific innovation
In the fifth public lecture of this series, Professor William Cong will discuss the broader impacts of environmental sustainability issues and related policies, such as those on extreme weather and biodiversity conservation, which can influence areas including scientific research, cost of public capital, and wealth redistribution in the real estate market. He will also discuss how financial, scientific, and technological innovations can help with sustainability policies and vice versa, calling for greater collaboration between economists, policy makers and scientists to address societal challenges.
The lecture will be moderated by Addy Cheng, Founder of Climate+ and MU Investments.
This is a hybrid lecture that will be held in person and over Zoom.
