Christoph Burckhardt is an attorney at law and works as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Law of the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He currently writes his Ph.D. thesis on legal aspects of loyalty shares under Swiss law including a comparative legal analysis.
Prior to his current position, he worked for Walder Wyss Ltd., one of Switzerland's leading commercial law firms, in the Group Legal Department of F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. and with Baker & McKenzie in Zurich.
Christoph holds a Summa Cum Laude Master of Law degree from the University of Basel and the University of Geneva.
Besides his professional career he is a captain at the Swiss Armed Forces (company commander), judge at a military court of first instance and in 2017 has been elected one of the youngest members of the citizens municipal council of his hometown Basel.
